Dr. Prasannakumari Viswanathan Nair is the Scientist for Rubber Research Institute of India. She has a total of 26 years research experience and the areas of work that she covers are nutritional management of rubber, environmental aspects of rubber cultivation, water quality in relation to land use pattern, sustainability of soils, heavy metals in rubber soils, and fertilizier advisory service. Dr. Prasannakumari has also published research articles in peer reviewed journals, technical reports and popular articles throughout her career. Dr. Prasannakumari has also acquired her M.Sc. in Chemistry and Ph.D. in Applied Chemistry.
