Global Rubber Conference 2018

Overview
Sihanoukville, Cambodia has been chosen to be the host venue of the 14th Global Rubber Conference. This prestigious Conference is hosted and co-organized by the Association for Rubber Development of Cambodia, produced, organized and managed by Confexhub Group and supported by International Rubber Research Development Board (IRRDB) and over 10 international rubber government bodies and associations. The GRC 2018 is expected to attract more than 300 delegates from natural and synthetic rubber (both upstream and downstream sectors) and their supporting industries representing over 25 countries.

This conference is designed to supports the growth of the rubber industry by delivering objectives, accurate updates and latest R&D to conference delegates and provide an excellent platform to discuss commercial prospects and opportunities and better understanding on the rubber market pricings.

As the only platform that brings together the regulatory authorities and commercial players of the rubber and rubber-products, it has been proven to be highly successful in its objectives to facilitate the exchange of ideas and insight into the global rubber industry and the price discovery of rubber.

Overview of Mong Reththy Group Agribusinesses
 Delegates will be introduced to Mong Reththy Group corporate activities on agribusinesses in natural rubber, palm oil, livestock, feed mill, tropical fruits and seaport;
 Delegates will be briefed on rubber plantation size and tonnage, adopted high yielding clones and planting materials, good agricultural practice system by plantation, and tapping system;
 Delegates will also be briefed on the crumb processing methods and latest technologies used to produce Cambodia Specified Rubber, including heating technologies used in the drying stage
 Delegates will be briefed on oil palm plantation size and tonnage, adopted high yielding clones and seeding planting materials, good agricultural practice system by plantation, and cultivation system;
 Delegates will also be briefed on the crude palm oil refinery methods and latest technologies used to produce CPO
 Delegates will be briefed on tropical fruit cultivars, particularly mango cultivation, adopted species and production, consumption countries, and cultivation system; and
 Delegates will be briefed on livestock feed mill processing, production, and adopted processing technology system.

Overview of The Sihanoukville Special Economic Zone
 Delegates will be briefed on the strategic locality of the Sihanoukville Port Special Economic Zone which is located at the ASEAN eastern seaboard of the China’s Belt and Road (OBOR), connecting regional onshore markets of CLMV and China to other parts of ASEAN and the rest of the World with Sihanoukville as the Gateway;
 Delegates will further be updated on the infrastructure and facilities of the deep seaport and the special purposed industrial park developed to not just allowing quick access to raw materials from agricultural produce including rubber from Cambodia and the region, but acts as a cluster to support the regional industrial parks in CLMV including Thailand;
 Delegates will be given an update on the investment incentives including corporate tax exemption, import duties exemption, one-stop customs clearance, VAT exemption and access to human capital; and
 Delegates will be briefed on the targeted industries and industrial estate sizes for investment.
